Day Tour – Calgary to Dinosaur Provincial Park

Overview

Prairie Sprinter’s comfortable touring shuttle will pick you up at 8:30am from the centrally located downtown Calgary Tower. Your small group will travel in luxury to Dinosaur Provincial Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Watch the landscape transform from golden prairie to wild Badlands from your roomy seat in the shuttle. Stretch your legs and shop for Indigenous art and souvenirs during a brief stop at Boy Chief Trading Centre on the Siksika Nation.

By noon you will arrive at Dinosaur Provincial Park, one of the world’s richest deposits of ancient fossils. Be amazed by the abundant fossils, unusual wildlife and stunning landscapes at this UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll have time on your own to roam the hoodoo trail, explore fossil exhibits in the visitor’s centre and have lunch in the Cretaceous Cafe. Take a close look at micro fossils and learn about the diversity of animals that lived here 75 million years ago.

When you are finished walking in the footsteps of giant prehistoric creatures, the Prairie Sprinter shuttle will be waiting to drive you back to the Calgary Tower – leaving at 4:00pm and arriving downtown between 6:30-7:00pm.

Cost is $95/person + gst; children 12 and under $45/child + gst; under 5 free with two adult fares

During peak season, shuttles run on three consecutive days per week – Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Our season starts on May long weekend and ends Labour Day weekend in September. No shuttle on Canada Day (July 1).
